Our charges, as well as job hunting expenses, are normally tax deductible. However, you should review IRS regulation 1.162.1.

Recovery of service charges and other benefits
Many employers provide outplacement for staff they release, and recovery of our charges can be a negotiable item during final discussions. If you encounter this situation, notify us and we will offer our help and advise you in this regard.

In addition, the recovery of our charges can be a negotiable item during discussions with a potential new employer. It will be important to keep our staff involved in all situations where offers are extended and negotiation discussions begin.
